The Co-operative Group, UK’s fifth largest food retailer, said its boycott to produce coming from settlements in the “West Bank”.
The British food retailer claim that this “is not an Israeli boycott and that its contracts will go to other companies inside Israel.”
UK’s fifth largest food retailer has become the first major European supermarket to halt trade with companies that export crops from illegal Israeli settlements, a newspaper reported on Sunday.
The Co-operative Group is “no longer engaging with any supplier of produce known to be sourcing from the Israeli settlements,” reported the Guardian. The retail group’s measure is an extension of its existing policy which said it would not source produce from illegal settlements seized from the Palestinian territories in the West Bank.
The boycott will hit four companies the group has been dealing with and $569,363 worth of contracts.
The four produce suppliers are Agrexco, Arava Export Growers, Adafresh and Mehadrin, Israel’s largest agricultural export company.
A campaigner group, Boycott Israel Network (BIN), who hailed the group’s boycott, said on their website that Mehadrin is also complicit with Israel’s discriminatory water policies as it provides water to settlement farms and is associated with Israel’s state water company, Mekorot.
The retail giant stressed that “this is not an Israeli boycott and that its contracts will go to other companies inside Israel that can guarantee they don’t export from illegal settlements,” the newspaper reported.

There are three major ways to deal with Israel.
1. You can ignore her.
2. You can support her
3. You can harm her.
When Balaam was told by Balak to harm Israel, He was faced with a challenge. He was not able to curse what God had not cursed.

But God said to Balaam, “Do not go with them. You must not put a curse on those people, because they are blessed.”
Balak got angry. He told Balam. If you are not willing to harm her, nether curse nor bless her. In other words: Just ignore her.
United Kingdom has chosen a more harmful way for her self. The British kingdom has decided to curse Israel. Simply by trying to starve her.
25 Then Balak said to Balaam, “Neither curse them at all nor bless them at all!”
The only force that benefit from this kind of foolishness, are the enemies of Israel. First and foremost Islam. For every pound not spent in trade with Israel, the Islamic forces comes one step closer to their goal. That Israel must surrender to the will of “allah”, and give in to the formation of a new Islamic nation of the mountains of Israel.
For the United Kingdom, this kind of curing of Israel will only return on good old England her self. Because God of the Bible has promised to curse, all who tries to curse the dependance of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Just wanted to say that I agree totally with you Andrea. England is making another bad decision because of pressure from a special interest group.
My prayer is that England will repent. Our treatment of the Jewish people over the centuries is shameful, The God of Israel raised us up to be the largest empire the wordl has ever seen , through that empire the Gospel and the KJV went forth, the world speaks English but now we depend on the former empire to bring the Gospel back to us.

The UK is placing themselves under a curse. You would think that they would have learned a lesson from their own history. There was a time when it was said that the sun never set on the British Empire.
Because of their shabby treatment of the Jews; (too long to get into right now) but, Britan has been reduced to a small piece of land.
It would not surprise me at all if they are struck by a brutal famine. Time will tell.
Another thing that is popping up all over the place is; many different food producers are allowing their products to be halal certified. This is the muslim version of kosher. Halal food is also prayed over, and is blessed in the name of Allah.
When researching which products are halal, you must be very careful, the markings are very small. One company that has gone halal is Butterball.
We should not want to eat food that has been sacrificed to demons.
Can more of this ‘Halal Certified’ be given for all to see? I’ll try to find out some on my own also, yet I hope this can be done in ‘detail like the other lies from Hell’….I refuse to “Receive Fortune Cookies and flat tell them ‘The Word of God, The Bible says, Don’t have any thing to do with Sorcery”..and they take it back from my hand to theirs! (after I make sure they know WHY!) Some have even said ‘Really, I didn’t know that’…(Read the Bible you’ll find it there clearly) Thank you.
I read about this action by co-operative in the UK and knew that there would be a posting on this blog about it.
This is an action by the UK’s fifth largest supermarket, though they hold fifth position, they are nowhere near position one two or three, they own a lot of small convenience stores where people go to purchase the things they forgot when in the larger supermarkets.

Suddenly the uk’s fifth largest supermarket chain has become the entire UK!
But……..don’t think I support the co-ops actions, I do not, however I believe it is simply a sign of the times.
The UK is under a curse, but this action by the co-op is not the cause, it is a symptom.
Proverbs 1 verse 7 says
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
There is no fear of God among the general population of the UK and certainly not among those who are at the decision making level of big business.
As I say, it is a symptom not the cause, expect worse as time goes on.
