Multiple bombs in Eilat, and mortar fire into Israel from Egypt. Eight killed and more than two dozen injured.
At least eight people were reported dead and at least 25 injured in a three-stage terrorist attack along Israel’s border with Egypt on Thursday, which began when terrorists opened fire at an Egged bus traveling on Road 12 near Eilat.
The casualties were evacuated to Yoseftal Hospital in Eilat. A number of soldiers were among the casualties.
Several minutes later, a number of bombs went off next to an IDF patrol traveling along the border with Egypt. There were also reports of mortar fire from Egypt into Israel. The terrorists apparently then moved on to another spot and fired an anti-tank missile at another vehicle, injuring a number of passengers.
Magen David Adom said that terrorists attacked a bus and a private vehicle 20 kilometers north of the site of the first incident. Paramedics said five people there were mortally wounded in that attack.

The Arab spring in Egypt has produced its first fruits in their relations to Israel.
The Muslim Brotherhood has made it no secret that it does not accept a Jewish state in the Middle East. Despite being as anti-Jewish as the Nazis, the EU and the USA feels the Muslims brothers represent a new hope for Egypt and the region.
The fist thing the Muslim Brotherhood did, what to open the border between Egypt and Gaza. Than the Islamic terrorists in Hamas had free entry into the Sinai desert, and could plot strikes along the less secure Egyptian-Israeli border.
Israel is surrounded by enemies. They have been so before. But in the wars of 1967 and 1973, the Jewish state had a strong friend in Washington, and solid support inside many Christian nations in Europe.
In the post-Christian western society, there will be hardly any friend to find for the Jewish people. Islam will have its way. Israel will be forced into a peace agreement, that will bring notting but a short pause in evil. When the Jews are ghetto’ed, they will face the final assault.
