This is a statement by the Pope of Rome during a general audience Castel Gandolfo on Wednesday. The pontiff spoke of there being a «nexus between the blessed virgin Mary and the priesthood».
«Mary is truly and profoundly involved in the mystery of the Incarnation, of our salvation. … Sacrifice, the priesthood and the Incarnation go together and Mary is at the heart of this mystery» the Pontiff said

Pope Benedict also reflected on the tie between priests and Mary. From the cross, Jesus sees his mother and the beloved apostle, an important individual, but more importantly a prefigurement of loved people and especially all priests.
«The Second Vatican Council invites priests to see Mary as the perfect model of their existence», the Pope added.
The Pope continued:
«This applies to all Christians, but especially for priests. Every priest can and should truly feel himself to be the son of this most holy and most humble mother», he said.
My comment:
The Pope is trying to explain to us, that we can accept the Mother of Jesus into our house. Since she is no longer present on Earth, as she was when John was called to take her to his house, there are only two options left for us:
1. We can invite the Spirit of Mary into our house
2. We can bring an idol of Mary into our house
I guess there some might say there is also another option: «We can invite the teachings of Mary into our house» But since she never presented a teaching of here own, and did not leave any books or letters behind, I guess that option is not valid.
Roman Catholic promote and defend the sin of idol worship.
Lets take a deeper look into the two other options:
1. If we invite the Spirit of Mary into our house, that Spirit will surely come. But is will be a demon. Why? Because Jesus said that He would send us God the Holy Spirit if we obey Him. He never mentioned that we should pray to Him for the return of the Spirit of His departed earthly mother.
2. If we invite and idol of Mary into our house, we need to ask our selves:
A: God of the Bible says He hates idols. (Multiple verses). Who gave the Pope permission to make idols of wood and stone?
B. Since the Mother of Jesus was a faithful Jewess, and did surely not make idols, how would she react if someone claimed they have an idol of her in their house? Would she approve you breaking the Law of Moses?
C: Since the first Messianic Jews observed the Law of Moses, and did not make idols, paintings or drawings of the Jewish Mother of Jesus. How do the Catholic priests know that these idols, of who they claim is the Queen of Heaven, is the mother of Jesus?
Back to the Bible:
Why did Jesus tell the Apostle John to take his mother into his house?
If her husband Joseph had not passed away, it would be a blunt insult to let the mother of Jesus go and stay in the house of an unmarried Jewish man. But If mother Mary was left alone, she needed shelter.
Since the Mother of Jesus has departed for Heaven, she is no longer alone. You do not have to invite her to your house. Instead, you should listen to her voice from the Gospel, in John 2:5:
«His mother said to the servants: Do whatever he tells you.»
If you do not listen to Her, you will commit blasphemy against both her and her God. If not repented for, you will surely die in your sins of idol worship. Praying to «Catholic Mary» or clinging to idols you think is of her, will lead you through the gates of Hell.

Exactly Walt. Catholics do NOT worship Mary. The Pope does not pray to an idol of wood. The statues and figures we use are used in worship, not worshiped themselves. They are to remind us of the story of salvation, to remind us of the great Saints who lived for Christ before us. I do not pray to an idol of Mary, any more than I pray to the framed picture of my family. It reminds me of Mary’s submission to God, to her place kneeling before Christ, interceding on my behalf.

What once amazed me as a practicing but not believing Catholic, was that the Catholics do not want to understand. What does the word worship mean? It mean something that we find worthy to adore or venerate, a form of reverend that only belongs to God.
The Bible says, dont make idols of stone and wood. Dont bow down to such statues and images. Every child above the age of four, will tell you that the Pope does exactly that.
You as adults have to become like such honest Children, or you will not be permitted to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

As other words, ‘worship’ has multiple meanings. There is the worship reserved for God, latria. There is the worship given to Mary as Mother of God hyperdulia, and there is the worship due to a superior, dulia. Hyperdulia and dulia signify degrees of respect.
The person of Mary gets hyperdulia. The statue gets nothing. You said “Every child above age of four will tell you…”…First, a Catholic child of four would tell you otherwise. He’s not praying to a statue. He knows that the most he will get from the statue is the echo of his whispered prayer. He’s not stupid.
God does not prohibit the making of statues, in fact he commands it in places. The Ark of the Covenant ond the Seraph Serpent on the pole are two examples.
It’s not an idol if you’re not worshiping it. And just because you see someone kneeling in front of one does not mean they are worshiping it. If you see that and you think so, why not go up to that person and say to him, “Why are you worshipping this statue?” He may set you straight with an uppercut to your chin. Or he may gracefully tell you that he’s not worshipping the statue.

While God created human beings in order for them to have a personal RELATIONSHIP with HIM, Satan on the other hand created RELIGIONS to cause CONFUSION in human beings. If everyone had just followed the TORAH, there would have been no conflicts in this world at all.

After the Gospels, the name, Mary, is mentioned 3 times. Once in Acts chapter 1,
Act 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
This is where we would expect to find her and she is identinfied as Mary the mother of Jesus.
The other 2 times are in Acts 12:12 where it is “..Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark..: and in Rom 16:6 in the greetings to a Mary with the saints in Rome. There isn’t a gospel of Mary or epistle from Mary. Niether is there an explanation or outlining of a devotion or service to Mary because this is an invention of the Catholic church.
They have elevated her to a position that doesn’t exist. When they talk about the woman in Revelation 12 ot the new Eve or Mary the ark of the New Testament, these are attempts to justify a teaching from men. The Bible doesn’t teach a, cult of Mary, as they call it.
The priesthood of the Catholic church is like a New Testament, Gentile version, of the Scribes and Pharisees. They outwardly appear righteous but inside…. They love the chief seats and fancy garments, to be called Holy Father, Cardinal, Bishop, etc. and while there is no denying the role of Peter or Paul or John, etc. the church is bult on the chief corerstone which is Christ.

Roman Catholics makes a mockery of the teachings of Jesus, every time they address their priests as “fathers”. This is a priesthood completely sold out to Satan, who appear with a copy of “Jesus”.
My two last visits to Roman Catholic Churches, made me physically sick. Their blasphemy in the Eucharist, singled me out to be the only Christian in the hall, refusing to join them. The second time I came for a wedding two years ago, the priest cracked a silly bad joke from the pulpit. Mocking Jesus. Than preaching holiness found inside Hinduism and Islam. He also cursed the wedding couple, as they were kneeling down before him.
John 2:5:

Officially the RCC does not place Mary as divine sk as to be worshiped. Veneration is for Saints, but a special category was inacted for Mary called “Hyper-veneration” then comes worship. So yes Mary is “officially” one degree away from officially worshipped in the doctrines of the RCC. But guys do you really feel like we are splitting hairs perhaps when you knee in humility at the feet of an idol a porcelan goddess and pray 150 prayers in a string of beads dedicated to said statue…. And asked said statue to hear your prayers and help redeem us…. And why would you not worship anyone who can mediated between God and man? And is a co- redemeer and a Queen of Heaven? And this is not worship? What is it? Take it Dow. Then. Why robbed even a second of Gods time to give to anyone who is not worthy of worship?
I meant to say take down the Mary paraphernalia if she isn’t worshipped . Just toss it out in the street. If she isn’t worthy to be worshipped why waste your time? Why break the 2nd commandment of God’s law, in order to build idols of things that you then do not even worship.
Mary is the true Mother of the Living God and worthy of all the Glory and praises given to her by we Catholics. If you don’t understand her just live her for us who do, but still as a mother she intercedes for you also to his son Jesus Christ.

Jesus is not GOD! He is God’s son though, Jesus recognized that he is inferior to God and that he is in no way equal to God. The term god in the bible is used to refer to many powerful eings, including jesus and SATAN, but this does not mean they are equal to God in any way. Biblical Ignorance is a dangerous thing, and the church reeks of it.

Jesus Christ Is Deity
As the Second Member of the Trinity, Jesus Christ stands co-existent in Eternity with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. There are many proofs in the scriptures for the Deity of Christ.
(1) In Zechariah 12:10, Jehovah speaks of the future return of Christ and says, “. . . They shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourne for him, as one mourneth for his only son . . . .” This is spoken again in Revelation 1:7, which is clearly a reference to Christ Himself, but in Zechariah 12:10 GOD said, “. . . They shall look upon me whom they have pierced . . . .” The One that they pierced was Jesus Christ! So, in Zechariah 12:10, God is saying that He is Jesus Christ.
(2) In John 1:1, John 1:14, 1 John 1:1, and in 1 John 5:7, Jesus is called “the Word,” and John 1:1 says that “the Word was God.”
(3) Thomas referred to Jesus as “My Lord and my God” in John 20:28, and Jesus did not see the need to correct him.
(4) Isaiah 7:14 gives us the prophecy of the Virgin Birth of Christ and states that His name would be “Immanuel.” Matthew 1:23 tells us that this word means “God with us.”
(5) In Isaiah 9:6, Jesus is called “Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” The Bible certainly would not say this about anyone less than God.
(6) In John 10:30, Jesus says, “I and my Father are one.” Jesus is not a lesser god; He is ONE with the Father.
(7) Micah 5:2 tells us that Jesus is “from everlasting.”
(8) In John 8:58, Jesus tells the Pharisees, “Before Abraham was, I am.” He claimed to be the “I AM” of Exodus 3:14, which is God Almighty.
(9) Jesus allowed others to worship Him (John 9:38; Matt. 14:33; and Luke 24:52), which was forbidden, unless He was God (Rev. 22:9).
(10) Jesus forgave sins (Mark 2:5), which only God can do (Mark 2:7).
(11) The Lord Jesus Christ is omnipresent (Matt. 18:20; 28:20; II Cor. 13:14; I John 5:7). We know He is God because He is capable of being everywhere at once.
(12) Jesus is omniscient (Mark 11:2-6; Matt. 12:40). He is God because He knows all things.
(13) The Lord Jesus is also omnipotent (Rev. 19:6; Matt. 28:18). He has all power.
(14) According to John 1, 1 John 1, Colossians 1, and Hebrews 1, Jesus Christ is the Creator of Genesis 1!
(15) Jesus never sinned! Romans 3:23 says that ALL HAVE SINNED and come short of the glory of God, but Jesus did not sin (2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18). So Jesus had to be God.
Now, if you’ve taken time to check these references, then the Holy Spirit has attempted to show you one great truth: The LORD JESUS CHRIST IS GOD. That much is clear to any honest Bible student.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses are not honest Bible students. One only has to pick up a copy of their “New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures” to see how dishonest and unfaithful they are with God’s word. We shall list a few examples of how the New World Translation ATTACKS the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ:
(1) It changes Zechariah 12:10 to read, “. . . they will certainly look to the one whom they pierced. . . .”
(2) John 1:1 in the N.W.T. says that “the Word was a god,” instead of “the Word was God.” The definite article “the” is replaced with “a,” and the capital “G” is replaced with a lower case “g.” The last half of 1 John 5:7 is omitted in the N.W.T., because it says that the Father, the Word (which is Christ in John 1:14), and the Holy Ghost “are one.”
(3) The Virgin Birth is attacked in Isaiah 7:14 of the N.W.T. by translating “maiden,” instead of “virgin,” even though Matthew 1:23 TOLD THEM that it should read “virgin!” The JW’s will attack anyone or anything associated with the Lord Jesus Christ.
(4) They change “from everlasting” in Micah 5:2 to read, “time indefinite,” which is not the same at all.
(5) John 8:58 is where Christ said, “Before Abraham was, I am.” This matches God’s statement to Moses in Exodus 3:14, meaning that Christ is God. However, the N.W.T. says, “Before Abraham came into existence, I have been.” This destroys the valuable cross reference to Exodus 3:14. The JW’s believe that Jesus was “a god” before the time of Abraham, but that He was NOT the “I AM” of Exodus 3:14.
(6) In John 9:38, Matthew 14:33, and Luke 24:52, the JW’s have replaced the word “worshipped” with the words “did obeisance,” which is not the same (See Gen. 37:7, 43:28; Exodus 18:7; 2 Sam. 1:2; 2 Chr. 24:17).
The matter is clear: the JW’s will attack the Lord Jesus Christ every time they have a chance. Their “bible” proves it. Their WRITINGS also prove it. Here are a few blasphemous remarks made by the JW’s over the years concerning the Lord Jesus Christ:
“. . . he was the first and direct creation of Jehovah God” (The Kingdom is at Hand, p. 46, 47, 49).
“If Jesus were God, then during Jesus’ death, God was dead in the grave” (Let God Be True, p. 91).
“. . . the true Scriptures speak of God’s Son, the Word, as ‘a god’.” He is a “mighty god,” but not the Almighty God, who is Jehovah” (The Truth Shall Make You Free, p. 47).
“The very fact that he was sent proves he was not equal with God, but was less than God his father” (The Word: Who is He, p. 41).
This is how a cult deals with the written word of God. HUMAN REASONING is the final authority of all cults. Rather than to take God at His word BY FAITH, a cultist will always REJECT God’s word and attempt to reason things out for himself. All cults will ADD TO, SUBTRACT FROM, OR IGNORE the written revelation of God.
For those of us who BELIEVE the scriptures, we are now well aware of the fact that Jesus Christ is God. Those who believe otherwise will have to CHANGE or IGNORE the Bible, because the Bible testifies of none other than the Lord Jesus Christ Himself (John 5:39).
