Arabs must come to terms with 1948, 67 and 73 defeats

June 11, 2011

What occurred in 1947-48, was a result of their catastrophic miscalculation.

David Ben-Gurion read the declaration of independence in Tel Aviv. On November 29, 1947.

Palestinians cannot, and will not, acknowledge that what occurred in 1947-48 came about as a result of the catastrophic miscalculation on the part of their leadership and Arab states.

In his recent plea in the New York Times for “The Long Overdue Palestinian State,” PA President Mahmoud Abbas recalls the “nakba” (or catastrophe) of Palestinian loss in 1948.

This is the preferred Arab narrative in which Palestinians are victims of Western powers and Zionist Jews through the agency of the UN.

Palestinians cannot, and will not, acknowledge that what occurred in 1947-48 came about as a result of the catastrophic miscalculation on the part of their leadership and Arab states.

Within a few hours of Israel’s independence in May 1948, Arab armies invaded the Jewish state. Those who plan war and initiate it must know there are consequences both in victory and in defeat.

What no one asks is why Palestinian rejection of the UN’s 1947 plan and Arab aggression against Israel merit reward of the same more than six decades later?

Why do 355 million Arabs need 22 states when there is only one China and one India with their respective population of more than a billion people in each state?

The reason Palestinians will receive the General Assembly’s undeserving support is due to the real, though unstated, institutionalized bigotry inside the world body that once voted Zionism as a form of racism. Against such bigotry there is no appeal for fairness.

My comment:

It would not look good if the Bundestag in Germany wanted Austria back in the 1960-ties.

The Germans lost the World war II, and the borders in Europe changed.

Israel won the war for survival and independence in 1948. Israel also won the war in 1967, and in 1973.

The consequences of these wars have been peace at the borders of Israel and Syria. Peace at the border between Jordan and Israel, and between Israel and Egypt.

The Arabs have never accepted this cold peace. They have since 1948 refused to accept the state of Israel.  Again and again, they have tried to turn their defeat into victory, by simply bidding for the destruction of Israel.

The PLO is a fruit of this wicked struggle. The PLO was formed in 1964, not to retake Eastern Jerusalem, but to see the destruction of the full Jewish state. When the PLO got fat and corrupted UN and US “aid”, the Arabs formed Hamas to get the Jihad going.

And here the Arabs stand: Trying for yet another rematch.

With Facebook and GPS “they” know everything about you

June 11, 2011

Someone took your photo on the street. In a minute they will know everything about you. Also where you will sleep in the night.

Facebook is a perfect tool for all totalitarian regime builders.

- Facebook has 600 million members.

- Each day, Facebook’s members upload over 200 million photos, and Facebook currently hosts over 90 billion photos.

The new facial recognition technology, which was announced in December but only introduced to a small test group, is basically Facebook’s way of creating a huge, photo-searchable database of its users. And yes, it’s terrifying.

Facial recognition technology will ultimately culminate in the ability to search for people using just a picture. And that will be the end of privacy as we know it–imagine, a world in which someone can simply take a photo of you on the street, in a crowd, or with a telephoto lens, and discover everything about you on the internet.

Obviously, we can’t stop the world of technology from moving toward the development of accurate facial recognition software. But so far, no facial recognition software has really been a threat to our privacy, because nobody has that huge database of people and photos required. Oh wait, except Facebook totally does.

My comment:

You can not ban technology. After the nuclear bomb was invented, we had to live with it.

We also have to live with Facebook.  When this social media have 90 billion pictures in its databases, they have more knowledge about the human race than any other totalitarian leader could ever dream of.

The last anti-Christ will find you with the help of GPS and Facebook. There is nothing worth mentioned about you, that He will not be able to use.

Syrian civilians paid to assault Israel border

June 11, 2011

The regime in Damascus paid poor farmers USD 1,000 to cross into Israeli territory and harass the Israeli army.

Syrians were paid to risk their life, provoking fire from the IDF at the Golan border with Israel.

The mass Arab march on Israel’s borders scheduled for Sunday was largley a dud, but nearly two dozens Syrians were reportedly killed while trying to infiltrate the Golan Heights, reported Syrian media.

It was apparently more difficult than expected to convince the Arab masses to gather and assault Israel’s borders. So, according to the Syrian opposition, the regime in Damascus paid poor farmers USD 1,000 to cross into Israeli territory and harass the Israeli army. Any who were killed in the stunt were promised USD 25,000 to their families.

The Reform Party of Syria wrote on its official website that Syrian farmers make less than USD 200 a month, so many were tempted by the offer. And, if Syrian government media is to be believed, at least 23 paid with their lives for accepting the bribe.

Israeli army officials noted that very few of the Syrian demonstrators were actually injured or killed by Israeli gunfire, and most were the victims of minefields stretching along the border region. The minefields are clearly marked.

The largest march on Israel’s borders marking the anniversary of the start of the Six Day War in 1967 – which the Arabs refer to as “the Setback” – was to come from Lebanon. But it didn’t materialize.

At least four Israeli Arab Knesset members took part in the violent anti-Israel demonstrations, once again prompting calls that they be stripped of their parliamentary immunity.

Hamas wants cash before new split from the PLO

June 11, 2011

Hamas will participate in any future Palestinian government, a senior official from the Islamist group said Thursday.

Salah el-Bardaweel expose that the Hamas leadership is not sure what comes next.

These are the words of Salah al-Bardaweel, a high-ranking Hamas leader in Gaza. He refutes press reports that the group may exclude itself from a future government to avoid international isolation.

Hamas will participate in any future Palestinian government, a senior official from the Islamist group said Thursday, refuting press reports that it might opt not to take part in a future administration.

“Nothing would prevent us” from participating in any government after new elections”, Salah al-Bardaweel, a high-ranking Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip told the German Press Agency DPA.

My comment:

The fresh union between the PLO and Hamas was a political stunt, to test if the US could be willing to push Israel back towards the not defensible 1967-borders.

Its easy to fake a union, but not easy to agree how to split the cash. Ismail Hanyet and Abu Mazen.

The tactic behind the “union” failed.

To understand the reason for the union, we also have to search for the reason for the split.

The PLO -Hamas split was not all about ideology. It was about money.  As long at the PLO got all the cash from the US and EU, Hamas had to lean on Syria and Iran.

The ideological difference between them is a matter of tactic and speed. Hamas is ready to be more extreme, and wants Israel gone next week if possible.

The PLO works for massive immigration of Arabs into Israel, to reduce the Jews to a minority. The idea of a separate “Palestinian statehood” on some few square miles of fruitless mountain land, is just a fund raiser to achieve the main goal.

When the PLO now face a treat to their cash flow, the Hamas is told to back off. The message is: “You will get the cash anyhow. Lets split off again”.

The Hamas is not sure they shall trust the PLO.

Backed by the “Revolution” in Egypt, the Hamas has got their hands into some Western cash. The Muslim Brotherhood will get billions of dollars from Washington, and their brothers across the fallen border with Gaza will surely get their share.

On the next flights to Switzerland, you will find a great mix. The leadership from all the Jihad organizations will be there. Both from the Brotherhood, the Hamas and the PLO.
