Midwesterners accustomed to dealing with snow, sleet and ice have readied themselves for a monster winter storm that could be bigger than many cities in the nation’s midsection have seen in years.

10 inches of snow is a blizzard, 20 inches is a catastrophe

As the storm began its trek across the Midwest, it brought a bit of everything: ice, sleet and snow — even tornadoes were possible. School districts, universities and legislatures closed; airlines canceled thousands of flights; and residents rushed to gather supplies, anticipating they might have to dig out or hunker down.

“I’ve never seen a prediction of what have you — rain, snow, ice, whatever — where people reacted so quickly to it,” Jack Runyon, co-owner of Runyon Equipment Rental in Carmel, Ind.

Cities including St. Louis, Kansas City and Milwaukee could be hardest hit, with expected midweek snowfalls of up to 2 feet and drifts piled 5 to 10 feet. Even hardy Chicago could be in for its third-worst blizzard since record-keeping began, with forecasts calling for up to 20 inches of snow in the city and waves whipping off Lake Michigan.

“`Freaking out’ is a great way of putting it,” St Louis resident Steve Edele said. “The icing — that’s what scares people.”

Severe weather conditions were already reported in several parts of Kansas and Minnesota. In Arkansas, communities anticipated lesser snow totals, but the weather service warned severe thunderstorms could generate freezing rain, hail and isolated tornadoes.

After burying the Midwest, the storm was expected to sweep into the Northeast, parts of which already are on track for record snowfall this winter.

Australia evacuated thousands of people from its northeast coast on Tuesday as a cyclone rivaling Hurricane Katrina bore down on tourism towns and rural communities, with officials saying it could even threaten areas deep inland that were ruined by floods last month.

We used to say a storm like this comes along once in a generation, now they happen almost every year.

Mines, rail lines and coal ports were closed in Queensland state as Cyclone Yasi headed toward the coast. Up to a third of Australia’s sugar crop was also under threat, officials said.

“This storm is huge and life threatening,” Queensland Premier Anna Bligh said, warning the system was intensifying and picking up speed on its path from the Coral Sea, with destructive winds expected on Wednesday morning.

Cyclone Yasi is expected to generate winds of up to 280 kph (175 mph) when it hits the northern coast of tropical Queensland state early on Thursday, matching the strength of Katrina, which devastated New Orleans in 2005.

With a strong monsoon feeding Yasi’s 650 km (400 mile) wide front, the storm was also expected to maintain its intensity long after smashing into the coast and could sweep inland as far as the outback mining city of Mt Isa, 900 km (600 miles) inland.

Satellite radar images showed Yasi as a massive storm covering almost the entire Coral Sea and moving toward Australia from near Vanuatu. A sugar industry official said it could threaten about a third of the state’s sugar cane crop.

Luke 21: 25-26 says that just before the return of Christ;

There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Romans 8:22 says;

For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.

The earth itself is bucking and heaving under the terrible accumulated weight of human sin and lawlessness.

How long will the Church continue to ignore the signs that the One who created this earth is, in His mercy, sending us to wake us up to what He’s doing and what we need to do to get in line with His Will?

II Peter 3: 1-4;

This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:  That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Muslim Brotherhood: ‘Prepare Egyptians for war with Israel’

A leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt told the Arabic-language Iranian news network Al-Alam on Monday that he would like to see the Egyptian people prepare for war against Israel, according to the Hebrew-language business newspaper Calcalist.

Muhammad Ghannem reportedly told Al- Alam that the Suez Canal should be closed immediately, and that the flow of gas from Egypt to Israel should cease “in order to bring about the downfall of the Mubarak regime.” He added that “the people should be prepared for war against Israel,” saying the world should understand that “the Egyptian people are prepared for anything to get rid of this regime.”

Ghannem praised Egyptian soldiers deployed by President Hosni Mubarak to Egyptian cities, saying they “would not kill their brothers.” He added that Washington was forced to abandon plans to help Mubarak stay in power after “seeing millions head for the streets.”

My Comments: Those who plan and make war against Israel, are making war with Jesus Christ. I need not say anything else but this: Psalm 83 is a perfect description of what will happen to those who try to destroy the nation of Israel.

Egypt’s military fill its pockets from Washington

The Generals in Cairo told the American Embassy that they would let the son of Hosni Mubarak take over Power in Egypt.

Honsi Mubarak is not the ruler of Egypt, but rather the US dollars that goes to the military.

A senior Egyptian politician told an American diplomat in July 2009 [09CAIRO1468] that the military would safeguard a “constitutional transition of power” and implied the armed forces would support Gamal Mubarak, the son of current president Hosni Mubarak.

Dr. Ali El Deen Hilal Dessouki, a former minister in the ruling National Democratic Party (NDP), claimed that even though “the real center of power in Egypt is the military”, they would have “no objection to a civilian” as the next president.

My comment:

That the Generals in Egypt are on the US Payroll, is not a deep big secrets.

The reason why they do not longer obey President Mubarak, is surely that they know that He will not give them bread and butter.

Washington has most likely told the Egyptian Generals to do both:

1. Do not kill the demonstrators.
2. Do not remove President Mubarak.

The problem Washington face, is that there is no one to replace Mubarak. He has effectively used the US payments, to destroy any workable opposition.  And down in the gutter, Radical Islam just wait for the chance of offer their new leadership.

Money corrupt people, up to the leaven of treason and betrayal.

Hoenlein: ElBaradei is a “stooge” for Iran

Mohammed ElBaradei is a “stooge of Iran.”, claims director of US Jewish foreign policy umbrella in America.

Malcom Hoenlein warns Egypt and the World not to trust ElBaradei.

Malcolm Hoenlein the executive vice-president of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

He accused ElBaradei of covering up Iran’s true nuclear weaponization capacities while he directed the International Atomic Energy Agency, the U.N. nuclear watchdog.

“He is a stooge of Iran, and I don’t use the term lightly,” Hoenlein said in an online recorded interview with Yeshiva World News on the Egyptian crisis. “He fronted for them, he distorted the reports.”

ElBaradei, who directed the IAEA from 1997 to 2009, returned to Egypt following his third term. Soon he was touted as a possible challenger to the 30-year autocracy led by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

Since protests were launched last week, ElBaradei has emerged as a consensus candidate of various opposition groups for transitional leader.

In addition to slamming ElBaradei, Hoenlein criticized the successive U.S. administrations for failing to achieve an orderly transition to democracy in Egypt. The Bush administration’s democracy initiative was ineffective and then the Obama administration essentially abandoned the cause, Hoenlein said.

To let Mohammed ElBaradei take over the President post in Egypt, will be like letting Iran get a new bridge head in Cairo.

ElBaradei can not be trusted.

The link between Persia and Egypt have always been there in the Babylonian perspective. The King of the North and the King of the South, all seen from Jerusalem. An almost endless fight that will end in agreement to go against the Jewish state.

The US neglected Egyptians desire for freedom

The United States ignoring the north African country’s human rights abuses.

The living God has turned a Hamas supporter into a truth teller.

The U.S. Ignored Egypt’s Human Rights Abuses, Says Mosab Hassan Yousef, the author of the book “Son of Hamas”. Yousef is son of one of the founder of Hamas, who was saved by Jesus and turned lover of the Jewish people.

Yousef wrote that while the United States was founded on a Constitution that guarantees basic human rights, it has – along with other Western countries – “turned a blind eye and deaf ear to flagrant human rights abuses in Egypt and other countries…”

“Tyrants loot and torture their own people, yet we maintain an uninterrupted flow of aid dollars to ensure low gas prices and protect favorable trade agreements,” criticized the former spy for Shin Bet, the Israeli version of the U.S. CIA, who now lives in the United States.

“Even today, as clouds of black smoke choke much of the Middle East, Western eyes are glued to pump prices, when our hearts should be broken over decades of needless human suffering,” remarked Yousef, who has converted to Christianity and believes Jesus’ teachings about forgiveness is the key to Middle East peace.

I fully agree with my Arabian brother, turned worshiper of Jesus.

The US is one of the main culprit behind the disaster zone called The Middle East.

Washington have a saying, that there are only two kinds of dictatorships. Those who are on the payroll of the CIA, and those who are not.

Iran threatens to unveil new weapons

Iran says it will unveil a range of new rockets and satellites as part of national celebrations of the 32nd anniversary of its Islamic Revolution. The observances begin this week.

Iran uses its missiles to threaten Israel and Europe.

Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said Sunday the presentation of Iran’s latest space technology will include two rockets, the Safir 1-B (Messenger 1-B) and Kavoshgar 4 (Explorer 4), and two satellites, the Rasad (Observation) and Fajr (Dawn).

Vahidi said the Safir 1-B rocket is capable of carrying a satellite weighing 50 kilograms into an elliptical orbit of 300 to 450 kilometers.

Iran on Tuesday begins the 10-day long annual celebration of its revolution. It typically uses the occasion to showcase its scientific and technological achievements.

My comments;

Every analyst who watches Iran knows that the government routinely lies and exaggerates the power of its armed forces. Weapons “revealed” during parades to celebrate the Islamic Revolution or other historical events are notorious for this.

However, it is beyond question that Iran possesses missiles that can threaten Israel as well as much of Europe and they are working on nuclear weapons.

We must continue to pray for the safety of Israel, and pray for the Bible believing Church in Iran, which will come under more and more severe persecution as Iran continues down the path of anti-Christ madness.

When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened; those things must take place; but that is not yet the end.

Former french ballerina claims she has healing powers

She is the granddaughter of a French Count, a former ballerina who claims she has healing powers to treat broken bones and even cancer.

Yet despite her exotic background, perhaps the most remarkable thing about 80-year-old Rena Denton is her power of persuasion.

In January this year a judge ruled that the strong influence of Mrs Denton, or Mata Yogananda Mahasaya Dhama as she is known, was sufficient to convince a former Army intelligence officer and his wife to hand over the keys to their £800,000 converted farmhouse.

In 2003, Richard Curtis, his wife Fiananda and their young son had joined the enlightened “Family” who run The Self Realization Healing Centre, a charity founded by Mrs Denton and her husband Peter, 81, in the village of Queen Camel, near Yeovil, Somerset.

The court agreed that Mr Curtis, 53, had been “unduly influenced” by his “spiritual adviser” before giving away the house, in south Wales. Following his separation from his wife, 48, who is still part of the group, the charity must now return his share of the property.

Judge Milwyn Jarman QC found “no clear indication of brain washing”, but he ruled: “Mr and Mrs Curtis were giving away all they had. In my opinion the agreement was manifested to be disadvantageous.”

Describing his experiences in an online discussion, Mr Curtis wrote: “A precondition of our joining the organisation was that we had to give all our possessions etc and home to ‘God and Guru’. Many people have been recruited in the same way.

“If you’re thinking of joining, think twice. Once you have signed the form, as they say, there’s no going back.”

My Comment: 

If Rena Denton approached you and said something like this : “I can heal your broken bones and cancer, but you’ll have to give me your home.” What would you do? Would you give away your life savings and home?

The amount of con artists these days who claim “powers of healing” are on the rise, but is important to realize that these “false prophets/spiritual healers” are not of Jesus Christ. I believe we are living in the end times, and more and of these fakes will come, deceiving many.

Galatians 5 verses 19-22

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;  idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions  and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

It is Jesus Christ who can truly heal. These are perilous times, and by prayer and staying close to Jesus Christ we can discern imitators of Christ, which are of the devil like Rena Denton.

Mark 16:17-18

And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Drug violence escelates along US/Mexico Border

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has sent a warning to Mexican drug cartels, saying they will be met by a “powerful” response if they cross the border.

The drug trade and the violence connected with it is destroying the lives of hundreds of millions of people all over the world.

Napolitano made the comments Monday at the University of Texas-El Paso, which sits across the Rio Grande from Ciudad Juarez, a city torn apart by drug-related violence.

She said border patrol arrests – a key indicator of illegal immigration – declined 36 percent in the last two years. She also said the number of deportations rose nearly 70 percent, with 779,000 people being deported.

Revelations 9: 20-21 says;

The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts.

The Greek word used in this passage refers to witchcraft, but it can also refer to drug use, which is often a part of occult practices. The increase in the use of drugs and the violence connected with the drug trade is ravaging the lives of hundreds of millions of people all over the world, but there is hope.

His name is Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (Jesus Christ) and His gift of love and grace is available for all.

In Matthew 11:28 Yeshua said;

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
