Pentecostal Pastor in India Murdered

January 25, 2011

“This was murder. My brother had blood oozing out of his mouth, hands and legs tied in an unnatural way and his clothes were torn,” said Dushashan Pradhan.

Christians and Roman Catholics stand united against violence in India.

He is the brother of Pentecostal Pastor Saul Pradhan, 45 years old, who found dead on January 11 in the village of Pakala, in Kandhamal district, Orissa. The region has been the scene of repeated attacks on Christians by Hindu extremists since the anti-Christian massacres of Christmas 2008.

The pastor was found dead following still unresolved circumstances. Police have ruled that his death was accidental and caused by freezing. The official story is yet to be confirmed by an autopsy. Meanwhile, even before the results come back, two activists from a radical Hindu group, who were the last to be seen in the company of the pastor, were nevertheless arrested .

The pastor’s family categorically denies the explanation released by Indian authorities. Nimata, the wife of the pastor, in great pain, said “He was killed because he wanted to reconcile Christians and Hindus in the village. He tried to do so until the end, even reaching out to those who had set fire to the houses of Christians.””

Father Manoj Kuma Nayak, a Catholic priest involved in the rehabilitation of victims following the attacks, after having visited the village in question in recent days, notes with worry that “violence could explode again in the district if the authorities do not stop the hate campaign.”

Even Bipra Charan Nayak, representative of the Association of Survivors of Kandhamal, believes that the pastor was killed by Hindu radicals who “are putting in place a systematic plan to eliminate Christian leaders, labeling these murders as accidents.” The leader launches the alarm and urges the authorities to provide adequate protection to Christian leaders.

My Comment:

The amount of persecuted Christians resulting in death seems to be exploding at a rapid pace. I am sure there are plenty that do not ever get reported. Pentecostal Pastor Saul Pradhan was murdered for preaching to the Hindus, and everyone alike of Jesus Christ.

John 15:18-20

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.’

Jesus Christ tells us in John 15 verses 18-20 that he chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. The bible also tell us that the “god” of this world is Satan, and scripture says he is a murderer and the father of all lies.

As a Christian, we must live a life in accordance to God’s Word and be ready to meet our Savior at any minute.

My comment:

There must have been a lot of  “wine and dine” in the circles around these 56 US noble men, before they managed to come up with the wrong conclusion.

56 might seems like a limited number, but is it substantial.

Since President Obama has spoken about Islam as a “great religion of peace”, this kind of letters will make it easier for Obama to change the present US Policy on the use of Veto Power in the United Nations.

The US is now a part of a small group of nations defending Israel in the United Nations. Obama will quickly loose more fans in the Islamic World, if he do not use political muscles against the Jewish state.

The truth is obvious. Even if the whole World agrees, God of the Bible might be of the opposite opinion. In particular in regards to the ownership to Zion, the International community is on the wrong path.  And going against God Father, Son and Spirit is stupid.

Joel 3:2
I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.

Neither Barack Hussein Obama not his Diplomatic corps is the final authority in these matters. But they will side will the wicked, and all nations will march together into the final war. They are up against their creator God, and they will surely loose.

Be on the right side. Stand up for Israel.

Jordanian King promotes “Global Solution” to Middle East conflict

January 25, 2011

His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday called on the world community to “reach a consensus” on immediate steps that should be taken to salvage the Middle East peace process.

The King of Jordan and the leader of the UN are in agreement about disregarding the Word of God

During a meeting with French Foreign Minister Michele Alliot-Marie, His Majesty said there is not much time left to waste more opportunities to make peace in the region. Unless the peace process moves forward, the region and the world will suffer more tension and conflict, the King told the French top diplomat.

He underlined the role of France and the European Union (EU) in supporting the Middle East peace process, which, he said, should lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state, on Palestinian national soil, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Ways to end the Middle East conflict and Jordanian ties with partner countries were also on the agenda of a meeting King Abdullah held yesterday with ambassadors of 20 countries.

During the meeting, His Majesty urged intensified efforts to overcome obstacles to the resumption of “serious and effective” direct talks between the Palestinians and Israelis.

The talks, he said, should resolve all final status issues on the basis of well-defined terms of reference to achieve security and stability in the region and work out a settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis of the two-state formula, the statement said.

The Monarch also called for bringing an end to all Israeli unilateral measures, including settlement construction, which aims at changing facts on the ground and constitutes an obstacle to peacemaking efforts, according to the statement.

My comments;

It is no surprise that the Moslem King of Jordan would be opposed to Israeli Jews living in Judea and Samaria (known to most of the world as the “West Bank”) nor is it any mystery why he is encouraging the creation of a Palestinian State.

The population of his desert kingdom is over 60% Palestinian and he would very much like to have someplace to send them. His father tried to get rid of them several times, going back to the attempt Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat made to overthrow the government in the 1970 Black September incident.

But, like so many other people in many countries, the King of Jordan has made a fatal mistake and forgotten that the Children of Israel have been given that area as an eternal possession by God Himself.

Genesis 17: 8 says;

I will give to you and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

God keeps His side of bargains, even when human beings don’t.  Even if the King of Jordan, and the UN, and the EU, and all the nations of the Earth want to give Judea and Samaria to the Palestinians to form a state there, the God who created this Universe and everything in it will not agree. He made a promise to the Jewish People through their father Abraham, and He cannot do otherwise than to keep it.

Southern Baptist withdrew from an interfaith coalition that protects Muslims

January 25, 2011

An artist's rendering of a proposed mosque in Temecula, California.

An influential Southern Baptist withdrew from an interfaith coalition that assists in protecting Muslims against discrimination with regard to building mosques in the U.S.

Dr. Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, made the announcement Friday after fellow Southern Baptists had expressed concerns with his involvement in the Interfaith Coalition on Mosques, established by the Anti-Defamation League.

“While many Southern Baptists share my deep commitment to religious freedom and the right of Muslims to have places of worship, they also feel that a Southern Baptist denominational leader filing suit to allow individual mosques to be built is ‘a bridge too far,” Land wrote in a letter to the ADL, according to Baptist Press.

The coalition was formed in September amid what it called “a disturbing rise in discrimination against Muslims trying to legally build or expand their houses of worship.” Religious leaders from various faith traditions – Catholic, Protestant, evangelical, Muslim and Jewish – shared mutual concerns over the “hostility” and “hate speech” surrounding recent mosque building projects in Tennessee, Wisconsin and California.

“We believe the best way to uphold America’s democratic values is to ensure that Muslims can exercise the same religious freedom enjoyed by everyone in America,” the coalition affirms in its statement of purpose. “They deserve nothing less than to have a place of worship like everyone else.”

Land has been vocal in his call for the respect of religious freedom, though he opposes the planned Islamic cultural center and mosque in New York City, calling it inappropriate. Still, his decision to join the interfaith coalition to “stand together to fight for the rights of our Muslim neighbors when they are being violated” was met with criticism from fellow Southern Baptists.

My Comment:

Let me first say this: As a Pentecostal Christian who believes in Jesus Christ completely, I do not condone hostility nor speeches filled with hate against Muslims, Catholics, or against anyone. The Bible tells us exactly how our Lord Jesus Christ feels against violence.

Psalm 11:5

The Lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.

Americans have the right and freedom to worship whomever they want. But on the flip side of that coin, myself as a Christian and a person who believes completely in Jesus Christ, I would not go out of my way to help Muslims build a mosque. I would however go out of my way to tell them how Jesus Christ died for our sins, and how he resurrected and is coming soon.

To claim to stand for everything Jesus Christ taught us, then in the next breath fight for individual mosques to be built, brands Dr. Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s, a hypocrite.

With love and respect, you can preach to every non-believer alike that Jesus Christ is the one who saves. That God loved the world so much, he gave up his one and only son that whoever believe in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life. Wouldn’t any true Christian leader rather do this, then sit there and support mosques being built?

The end of age is near which means Christ is very close to coming. We have no more time left to sit there and pretend that “compliance” with other religions means the same as trying to save them from the eternal pit of hell.

Mark 1:15

Iran: Warships to sail to Mediterranean

January 25, 2011

Fleet of ships may soon enter waters very close to Israeli coast as part of drill, says admiral‬‬.

The Old Iranian submarines are hardly seaworthy, beyond the Persian gulf.

A senior official in the Iranian navy revealed Sunday that the Islamic Republic plans to extend its naval range to Mediterranean waters near Israel.

Rear Admiral Gholam-Reza Khadem Bigham says an Iranian fleet of warships will soon set sail for the Mediterranean and Red seas. It will be the first time Iranian ships stray so far from home.

Bigham says the move is part of a year-long drill. “In addition to the drill the fleet will also collect intelligence in the region,” he was quoted by the Fars agency as saying.

The admiral did not say how many ships would participate in the drill. It remains unclear whether Egypt will allow the fleet to pass through the Suez Canal.

Bigham added that a fleet of submarines would also be launched soon, though the Islamic Republic is currently known to have just a small number of submarines with conventional abilities under its command.

My comment:

That Iran want to move its naval forces into the Mediterranean, does not mean that this would happen. Iran has said so before. But the Persian Navy is not very impressive, with small and outdated vessels. So if its moves, few if any will be to worried.

The Northern Part of the Indian Ocean is the base for the US Seventh fleet. The US do surely not want competition from Iran, to look after the security of the Middle East.

Egypt can not hinder Iranian warship from entering the Mediterranean through the Suez canal, but where will they go?

The one who offers naval bases for Iran beyond the Suez canal in going to face the military might of the IDF.

Zephaniah 1:14
The great day of the LORD is near— near and coming quickly. The cry on the day of the LORD is bitter; the Mighty Warrior shouts his battle cry.
