Ahmadinejad invites Pope to cooperation against secularism

October 22, 2010

The Iranian President called on the Pope for cooperation by “divine religions” against secularism.

The Pope preach under the crescent moon in Turkey in 2009.

The website of the Iranian presidency said last Saturday that Ahmadinejad had called for cooperation by “divine religions” against secularism.

The Vatican confirms that Pope Benedict XVI has received a letter from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The Vatican did not release the contents of the message.

But the website of the Iranian presidency said on Saturday that Ahmadinejad had called for cooperation by “divine religions” against secularism.

The website said he also thanked Benedict for his stance against a Florida pastor who had threatened to burn the Holy Quran on the 9/11 anniversary.

The pope and other Christian leaders urged the pastor to reconsider his plans, which he eventually called off.

Vatican spokesman the Reverend Federico Lombardi said the pontiff received the letter during a brief meeting with one of Iran’s vice-presidents at the end of his weekly general audience on Wednesday.

My comment:

It is no surprise that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad embraces the Pope. Islam stands divided, and has no central leader that keep them united.

The Pope prays together with Imams inside a Mosque in Turkey in 2009.

Since the Pope is a warm defended of Islam as a religion of “peace”, that is included in God’s plan for salvation, the Pontiff will emerge as a global leader, the World can accept as a man of “peace”.

The Bible says this man is an antichrist, and will lead the World towards judgment and total destruction.

I am sure the Vatican is ready for the final “peace mission” that will bring the Pope to the Temple Mount, where the final seat of the Pontiff will be set up.

Five German leaders hail modern day Hitler in Tehran

October 22, 2010

Israeli officials call German legislators’ decision to meet with Ali Larijani, the speaker of Iran’s parliament, “especially regretful.”

The leftist Lukrezia Jochimsen traveled to Tehran to hail the modern day Nazi-leadership

Israeli officials have sharply criticized five Bundestag deputies for meeting in Tehran this week with Ali Larijani, the speaker of Iran’s parliament, who has defended his government’s denial of the Holocaust.

“It is especially regretful that German legislators met with Holocaust deniers,” an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post.

Larijani defended Iran’s denial of the Holocaust at the Munich security conference in 2009, saying his country has “different perspectives on the Holocaust” and no laws barring such denial.

The German legislators reportedly met on Monday with Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, who delivered a speech at the 2006 international Holocaust denial conference held in Teheran.

The Israelis officials said the German “visit is counterproductive and regretful, and clearly sends the wrong message to the Iranian regime. It is quite surprising that German legislators choose to hold an official visit to Iran, at the same time when the German government, together with other leaders of the democratic world, work hard to tighten the sanctions on Iran in order to prevent it from threatening the world with nuclear capabilities.”

My comment:

There are many world leaders that have greeted the modern day Hitler. But few of them has flown into Tehran to fall at the feet of the supporters of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

That German leaders fly to the modern day “Nazi-Capital” to hail a leadership who say they will copy the Holocaust is not only regrettable. Its a horrible crime, that should be “hailed” with 10 years imprisonment. In Germany Holocaust denial is a criminal offense.

Lusanne Movement lukewarm in relations with Israel

October 22, 2010

Mainline Christians have great difficulties uttering any word of support for the state of Israel. Billy Graham tried to merge political correctness and faith.

Billy Graham was more intrested in supporting the Bush family, than supporting the state of Israel.

There is a systematic lack of support for Israel in hundreds of so-called mainline Churches around the Globe.

The reason for this systematic error, is pastors, priest and leaders not willing to accept a Jesus who will fulfill the Prophetic Word, and stand with eternal promises to the Jewish people. The eternal covenant in regards to the Mountains of Zion, is either misunderstood, transported to the Church, or completely ignored.

The Lusanne Movement (LM) makes no difference in this regards. In the Mission strategy document, there is no clear message that the state of Israel, including the whole city of Jerusalem, and the district of Judea and Samaria are belongings of the Jewish people.

The LM take the political correct stand, and do please United Nation with their theology and mission strategy.

Lets take a look at the policy documents.

D. Covenant

“It is necessary for the church to affirm that it is an elect people and that unity in and with Christ is open to both Jew and Gentile through faith and baptism (Galatians 3:27,28). But there remains the question of the present standing of the Jewish people as a nation before God. There is an attitude among many Christians that the Jews as a people no longer have a part in God’s plan since Israel’s prerogatives have passed in toto to the church”.

The Promised land of Jews and Arabs:

” We recognize that the Promised Land is the home of both Jew and Arab. We lament the continued tension between the Israeli and Palestinian people. We are conscious that God loves both Jew and Arab, and we look together to God for a just solution to the present tension”.
” However, we do see the return of the Jews to the land and to their life in Israel as a sign of God’s faithfulness. In our conversations, this can lead to a focus on his love in Christ. At the same time we ask our Christian sisters and brothers to avoid seeing the fulfillment of prophecies in every event in the State of Israel so that we miss the centrality of the crucified and resurrected Christ in our evangelistic approach”.

Jews: Ancient people of God.

” We therefore call upon the church to denounce the hostile expressions against God’s ancient people in the writings of the church fathers and to declare forthrightly that what is anti-Semitic is anti-biblical”.

Land: Cultural identify of the Jews.

“The question of the land cannot be ignored. It is a constituent element in the cultural identity of the people. No doubt it poses many difficult questions, but at a minimum, the church must affirm the nature of this divine gift (cf., Genesis 10, Amos 9:7f.) and its perpetuity and endeavour to contribute to the solution of the Israeli-Palestinian problem”.

My comment:

To reduce the Jewish homeland to a part of the “cultural Jewish identity”, is not a support of Biblical Zionism.  The regathering of the Jewish people is presented as an interesting cultural and political event, that needs our party support. But the state of Israel is of no important Biblical significance, that should lead Christians to stand together with the Jewish people in their spiritual war against the false religion of Islam.

Homer Simpson Isn’t a Catholic, He Eats Meat on Fridays

October 22, 2010

D’oh!  The producer for television show “The Simpsons” had a holy cow after learning that the Vatican considered Homer Simpson a Catholic.

Can Friday meat lovers among the Simpson"s be good Roman Catholics?

Executive producer Al Jean told Entertainment Weekly on Monday he was in “shock and awe” when he heard the assertion, saying, “I guess it makes up for me not going to church for 20 years.”

The headline in the semi-official Vatican newspaper, the Osservatore Romano, recently read: “Homer And Bart Are Catholic,” and backed it up by arguing the family prays before meals and that the show explores issues such as family, community, education and religion in a way that few other popular television programs do.

Father Francesco Occhetta, writing in La Civilta Cattolica, said the series is not without its dangers, but that if the show is taken with a grain of salt, parents should not be afraid to let their children watch it.

“The Simpsons remains one of the few TV programs for kids in which Christian faith, religion, and the question about God are recurring themes,” Occhetta wrote.

But Jean told Entertainment Weekly the Vatican’s analysis was a stretch.

“We’ve pretty clearly shown that Homer is not Catholic. I really don’t think he could go without eating meat on Fridays — for even an hour.”
He also said the Simpson family attends the First Church of Springfield “which is decidedly Presbylutheran,” and  pointed out that Homer and Bart only considered converting in the 2005 episode.

This isn’t the first time Matt Groening’s popular television family has received the Vatican’s blessing. Last December the newspaper also praised the show on its 20th anniversary for its philosophical leanings and irreverent take on religion.
