One trillion dollar has vanished in Iraq and Afghanistan

June 30, 2010

Three billion US dollars in Cash has been airlifted into Kabul to pay for the American “counter insurgency strategy”

Kabul airport: Are they gathered to get some cash, just arrived from Washington?

This is a fresh report from Wall Street Journal.

According to a report by the CNN in January 2005, 15 billion in cash did vanished in Iraq to pay for Washington’s past mistakes.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -January 31st 2005: – Nearly USD 9 billion of money spent on Iraqi reconstruction is unaccounted for because of inefficiencies and bad management, according to a watchdog report published Sunday.

An inspector general’s report said the U.S.-led administration that ran Iraq until June 2004 is unable to account for the funds.

Severe inefficiencies and poor management” by the Coalition Provisional Authority has left auditors with no guarantee the money was properly used,” the report said.

(end of report).

In February 2007, The UK Newspaper The Guardian had this report:

“How the US sent $12bn in cash to Iraq. And watched it vanish”

The US flew nearly $12bn in shrink-wrapped USD 100 bills into Iraq, then distributed the cash with no proper control over who was receiving it and how it was being spent.

The staggering scale of the biggest transfer of cash in the history of the Federal Reserve has been graphically laid bare by a US congressional committee”

An US security officer guards hundred dollars notes at the airport in Baghdad.

The Bosten Globe wrote in 2006 about the cost of the war in Iraq:

The estimate was two billion USD a week.

More than 200 weeks has passed since that information was passed on to the readers.  The war in Iraq alone, has since 2006 lifted the US tax payers for close to half a trillion US dollars.

My comment:

You have to be pretty dull, to fail to understand that this is not only mismanagement. This is an ongoing crime.

Because the US taxpayers money is finally ending up in the hands of Taliban and al-Quaeda. The “aid” from Washington do strengthen them.

The ruling counter insurgency strategy is based on the following agreement in Washington: “Let fly in some cash, and pay for our security to anyone on the ground who has a big smile, and looks friendly”

The result of the “cash for security strategy” is less US and NATO casualties, for some time. But the flip side of the coin, is that this seems to rapidly change.

18 per cent of the Afghan personal NATO have coached have deserted. They were supposed to become “friendly Islamic police officers and soldiers”.

Where have the cash, and these Muslims landed?

Just take a fresh look across the frontline.

Blair to push Israel towards the Mediterranean sea

June 30, 2010

David, why did you let Tony Blair off the hock?

David: You should have made your conversation with Tony Blair a little bit less comfortable.

Sometimes you just missed a golden opportunity. But to often its just bad journalism.

David Horowitz is the Editor in chief of Jerusalem Post. This weekend, he had the chance to ask Tony Blair some serious questions. Like:

- Do you know the distance from number 10 Downing Street, to Wimbledon in South London?

It takes 20 minuets to drive from Central London to Wimbledon on a nice blue day.

The correct answer is:

Approximately the same distance as from the western point of the so called “West Bank”, to the Mediterranean sea.

Just go an measure the distance from the city of Netanya, north of Tel Aviv.

The distance is 15 kilometers.

How do you defend a nation, that is just 15 kilometers wide?

David Horowitz topped his article about Blair with some funny lines about Coriander and Kassams. Than he let Tony Blair end the article, with what should have been the start of the conversation.

- What is “the ground that you (Israel) can defend most easily”?

Because Blair is of the opinion, that Islam and Arab nations is right in their demands of the Jewish people moving back behind the cease fire lines, prior to the 1967 war. It is called “the two-state-solution”.

These border lines never brought peace to the Middle East. The PLO was formed in 1964 to overrun these borders, and force the Jews towards the blue sea behind them. This Islamic “peace plan” is what Blair believe in the right way.

Lets read the end of the article in Jerusalem Post:

How troubled are you, and how troubled should we be, about the demonization and delegitimization of Israel?

(Blair answering)

It does trouble me because I think that the security of Israel is a fundamental part of our security too, in countries like mine.

The lesson is to take the ground that is always justifiable. And there is ground that is justifiable. That’s why the policy we’ve now articulated on Gaza is a sensible policy. I, as a friend of Israel, can go out and justify this policy. As you put it in your paper, ‘Coriander, yes; Kassams, no.’ I can justify that policy.

What I found hard to justify was ‘Coriander, no.’ There is a constant battle here [against delegitimization] that anyone in Israel is well aware of. That’s why the smart thing is always to be on the ground that you can defend most easily…..?????????

UK’s largest union wants to expel Israeli Ambassador

June 30, 2010

“An immediate sanction for the illegal attack on the flotilla, we call on the government to expel the Israeli ambassador”.

UNISON’s deputy general secretary, Keith Sonnet (left) is an committed anti-Zionist.

The anti-Zionist rhetoric in United Kingdom starts to sound like the messages sent out by the Ayatollah controlled Iran.

The emergency motion was introduced on the third day of the annual conference of UNISON, the largest public sector union with around 1.4 million members.

It said Israel was “brazenly lying” over the flotilla incident, as it “attempted to define it as an attempted lynch mob of its troops by passengers on the boats. This is a further sign that Israel does not respond to words of condemnation, only action will have any effect,” the motion states.

The union will now support a full boycott of Israel – economic, cultural and sporting; it has joined the boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign and will suspend ties with the Israeli union Histadrut.

One attendee said that the few Unison members who spoke against the motion were heckled. Lilach Head, a care worker from Devon, spoke against the motion and was heckled. She said the atmosphere was intimidating and the vote was called before more people could speak against it.

“Only three people were able to speak against the motion, there were six others waiting but then the vote was called. There was no hope,” she said.

Ambassador Ron Prosor

The Israeli embassy in London said the motion was “misleading” and “dishonest” and an “outrageous attempt” by anti-Israel activists to manipulate the union to serve their agenda.

We categorically reject this misleading and dishonest motion. This is yet another outrageous attempt by anti-Israel elements to manipulate a union into serving their agenda”.

My comment:

The First Prime Minister of Israel, David Ben-Gurion was a committed Socialist. In the 1950-both the Labor party and British workers were close friends of the Zionist state, that was build up on the same values as the Social Democratic idea.

- Lets live in Kibutz, have everything in common, and share with everyone in need.

I guess this was what Jesus of Nazareth would have done, if He had come back to Israel in 1948?

What has happened to the socialists in Europe?

The Zionist idea of a Jewish homeland with Jerusalem as its capital is still the same as in 1955. Nothing has changed.
Than, why do the unions in the United Kingdom side with the Islamic forces, that wants to destroy this Jewish nations, that is built on the same values as they protect in their own party programs?

Why do the unions in the United Kingdom side with Islam, that do not respect any of these values?

What a mad , mad world north of the white rocks of Dover.

Barry Rubin: “Cash to Hamas is like sending cash to Vietcong in North Vietnam”

June 30, 2010

Sending a cheque of 200 million USD to Hamas, is like sending the same amount of “aid” to the Vietcong during the Vietnam war.

One of the Police commanders in Saigon, execute a Vietcong guerrilla in 1968.

Barry Rubin is tired of US President Obama. In a featured OP Eds in Jerusalem Post, the Israeli director and Middle East expert, says bluntly that Obama is making a huge mistake. And in my reading of Rubins message:

Obama is a traitor of both the American and Israeli people.

Rubin reacts to Obama forcing the Israeli Government to legalize Hamas, by opening up for free trade over the Gaza border.

“This abdication of strategy and politics would be like the US making a commitment to help the people of North Vietnam during the Vietnam War or North Korea during the Korean War by pouring in money and goods unconditionally, saying this would help lead to a moderate unified state”

Rubin also react sternly to Obama’s demand for changes in Israeli policies towards the Hamas regime in Gaza.

“One would expect the words “unsustainable” and “demands fundamental change” to mean the president demands the overthrow of the Hamas regime. In fact, it signifies the exact opposite: He demands that regime’s stabilization”.

“Don’t those who govern the Gaza Strip as a dictatorship (an anti-Semitic, anti-American, terrorist, revolutionary Islamist, would-be genocidal, Christian-expelling, women-repressing and allied to Iran dictatorship at that) matter one bit?

The writer is director of the Global Research in International Affairs Center and editor of Middle East Review of International Affairs and Turkish Studies. He blogs at www.rubinreports.blogspot.com

My comment:

US President Obama wants to stabilize the Hamas-regime.  To send “aid” to the Islamic Jihad movement, is like offering Hitler aid to the bruised people of Berlin in November 1944.

To make peace with Hitler, that is what President Obama had done if He had been the US Commander in Chief during World War II.

The American people can only get rid of Obama by a popular vote in the next Presidential election. They better do that, to get rid of this curse they have placed on their own heads.
