Pope bows before crowned skull of Czech saint

Pope Benedict XVI has bowed before the skull of the Czech Republic’s patron saint before an open-air mass for the country’s youth.

The skull of a man who died 1000 years ago is adored and venerated by the Roman Catholics and the Pope.

Sunday, The 82-year-old pope visited the Saint Wenceslas Basilica in Stara Bolesav, just outside Prague. There he paid homage to the saint on the anniversary of his murder more than 1,000 years ago.

Saint Wenceslas, who was duke of Bohemia until his death, was murdered by his power-hungry pagan brother Boleslav on September 28th, 935 A.D at the gate of a church that used to stand where the basilica is now.

The pope also venerated the so-called Palladium, a small metal picture of the Virgin Mary with Infant Jesus, which according to legend the saint wore on his neck.

Afterwards Benedict headed to a field to celebrate mass before tens of thousands of pilgrims on the last day of his three-day visit to the former communist country.

Most Czechs are non-Catholics, with Papists making up less than a third of the 10.3-million population, according to Vatican data.

If Catholics and non-Catholics alike, do not understand the anti-Christian ritual of venerating, adoring or worshiping a skull, there is absolutely nothing I can say or do to convince you.

Shame on the Pope, and the Papists who believe in this wicked and perverse religion.

International prosecutor may charge Israeli with War Crimes

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, is considering an investigation of IDF for war crimes in Gaza. His first target i Lieutenant Colonel David Benjamin.

Public prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo puts pressure on officers in the IDF.

Benjamin served for many years as legal adviser to the GOC Southern Command, and later headed the Military Advocate General’s department on international law.

In August, he visited South Africa to attend a conference organized by the local Jewish community on international law during wartime, with special reference to the Gaza war. Benjamin later described the trip as a «personal hasbara [public diplomacy] trip».

The pro-Palestinian organizations promptly asked South African state prosecutors to open an investigation into suspicions that Benjamin had committed war crimes in Gaza. To avoid a potential confrontation with local authorities, Benjamin left South Africa several days earlier than he had planned.

Israel did not sign the treaty that created the ICC and thus is outside its jurisdiction, but the prosecutor believes he has the authority he needs to launch an inquiry: Benjamin holds dual citizenship in both Israel and South Africa, which has signed the ICC’s charter, bringing Benjamin into the court’s orbit.

Benjamin said he was out of the country during most of the Gaza operation and had no role in its planning.

My comment:

To target a sub-officer in the IDF for war crimes is an cowardly act. Because the top IDF bosses are available. So is the Israeli Prime Ministers, both past and present. And President Shimon Peres.

The state of Israel have a legal system that will take care of complaint against officers in the IDF. On quit a few occasions they under investigation, and are suspended. Some of them have even been arrested and jailed.

The US and United Kingdom will next week hold a huge NATO exercise in the Mediterranean ocean. This will be a joint military drill with the IDF.

Would the US and NATO have done this with the War criminals from Serbia and Croatia? Would they have done drill with he Sudanese Government, that has committed genocide in Darfur? What about Idi Amin`s regime in Uganda?

The IDF is the most ethical army in the World. To entertain Arab Palestinian terrorist organizations call for War crimes trials against the IDF, is no longer to believe in a bad joke. The International society have again forced the Jews to be on the run, just like under Nazi-Germany. Colonel David Benjamin had to run back home to Israel ahed of his schedule.

The Catholic saint that never existed has a scrine in Rome

Saint Veronica was supposed to have wiped the face of Jesus. But she is not mentioned in the Bible.

Saint Veronica with the claimed to be true image of the face of Jesus. Veneration, adoration or worship of an idol at its absolute hight.

The Catholic religion includes a payer chain called stations of the cross. That is expected to be a copy of the last walk of Jesus, up the the site of crucifixion. Its included 13 station, where the faithful stops and remembers some episode from the sufferings of Jesus. Interesting enough, the prayer chain does not include a station with celebrates His resurrection. It leaves Him in the grave.

On the sixth station, the Catholics remembers Saint. Veronica. She is a woman that is supposed to have wiped the face of Jesus. Thats why the sixth station is called: «Veronica wipes the face of Jesus».

In the Vatican in Rome there is a statue of this lady, who has been canonized by the Papal Church. There is also a legend that says that the cloth Saint Veronica used, later started to display the watermark of the face of Jesus. The story was later elaborated in the 11th century by adding that Christ gave her a portrait of himself on a cloth, with which she later cured the Emperor Tiberius.

There are also three Churches in the US that has taken the name of Saint Veronica.

Its is possible to raise a lot of questions about the people who the Roman Catholic Church has declared saints. But in the case of Veronica, it is an bizarre case of falsehood. Because the person of Veronica is simply not mentioned in the Bible. She has never existed.

The Catholic Encyclopaedia of 1913 had this to say about the growth of the legend:

«The belief in the existence of authentic images of Christ is connected with the old legend of King Abgar of Edessa and the apocryphal writing known as the “Mors Pilati” (“the Death of Pilate”)».

«To distinguish at Rome the oldest and best known of these images it was called the vera icon (true image), which in the common tongue soon became «Veronica».

«It is thus designated in several medieval texts mentioned by the Bollandists (e.g. an old Missal of Augsburg has a Mass “De S. Veronica seu Vultus Domini”) of (“Saint Veronica, or the Face of the Lord”), and Matthew of Westminster speaks of the imprint of the image of the Savior which is called Veronica».

The only book that talks about Veronica, is the apocryphal Act of Pilate. But this book with this act includes so many not strange and non-Christian statements, that Roman can never use this letter without being seriously tainted. The book with the Act of Pilate is called the Gospel of Nicodemus, It has additional material, and has gone through many revisions and renamings.

The US bunker-buster bomb can destroy Iranian nuke under ground

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that top defense agencies and air force units were also working against the clock to adapt the bay of a B2a Stealth bomber for carrying and delivering the bomb.

The Pentagon has ordered the number of bombs rolling off the production line increased from four to ten – a rush job triggered in May by the discovery that Iran was hiding a second uranium enrichment plant under a mountain near Qom – a discovery which prompted this week’s international outcry.

Congress has since quietly inserted the necessary funding in the 2009 budget.

All this urgency indicates that the Obama administration has been preparing military muscle to back up the international condemnation of Iran’s concealed nuclear bomb program, its sanctions threat and his willingness to join the negotiations with Iran opening on Oct. 1 in Geneva.

Tehran may have to take into account a possible one-time surgical strike against its underground enrichment facility as a warning shot should its defiance continue. In particular, the world powers this week demanded that Iran open up all its nuclear facilities and programs to full and immediate international inspection. Failure to do so could bring forth further US military action.

According to our military sources, the earliest date for the accelerated Pentagon program to produce a super bunker buster bomb mounted on a stealth bomber is December 2009 or January 2010. This too is three years ahead of its original schedule.

Gospel of Barnabas claims Jesus said Muhammad is the Messiah

The first Gospel of Barnabas was found in Spain, and was first commented by Pope Sixtus the fifth in 1585 AD. The only copy preserved today was found in Italy.

The Gospel of Barnabas in neither found in the Bibel nor in the Koran

I must confess that I had no idea that there was a book called «The Gospel of Barnabas». I was tiped by my Muslim friend and commentor on this site, Al Faarooq.

Since this book has its orgion more than 1000 years after the closure of the Canon of the Holy Bible, its obviously not a part of the New testaments scripture. Still its worth noticing that this book claims that Jesus said that the Muslim prophet Muhammed is the Messiah. That is a believe that is also rejected by mainstream Islam. Thats why its puzzles me that Al Farooq believe this. If I am not mistaken, He even told me that the Koran is a false book. Because the Koran does not claim that Muhammad is the Messiah.

What does the Gospel of Barnabas claim:

Verse 53:6:

«Jesus smote his face with both his hands, and then smote the ground with his head. And having raised his head, he said: Cursed be every one who shall insert into my sayings that I am the son of God».

Furthermore, the Gospel of Barnabas states that Jesus escaped crucifixion by being raised alive to heaven; while Judas Iscariot the traitor was crucified in his place. These beliefs; in particular that Jesus is a prophet of God and raised alive without being crucified; conform with Islamic beliefs.

Jesus is described as a prophet and not the son of God [Verse 35] , while Paul is called «the deceived».

What was the purpose of writing an publishing this book?

The the Gospel of Barnabas is seen as an attempted synthesis of elements from both Christianity and Islam. Some sixteenth century anti-Trinitarian divines sought to reconcile Christianity, Islam and Judaism; on the basis of very similar arguments to those presented in the Gospel of Barnabas, arguing that if salvation remains unresolved until the end times, then any one of the three religions could be a valid path to heaven for their own believers.

This kind of Inter Faith dialouges are very popular today. The only thing the Catholics and Islam and non-Torra observant Jews needs to do, is to read the Gospel of Barnabas and agree that this is the «truth».

The departed will raise from Hell

Another fascinating element in the Gospel of Barnabas, is that it includes a promise that the departed will get a chance to rise from Hell. Thats is also very similar to the Roman Catholic and Muslim belief, that there will be a place of Judgment beyond death. The Catholics calls this place Purgatory. This faulty teaching rejects that judgment have already taken place, when Jesus payed atonement on the cross, redeeming mankind, and taking Him self the judgment that man deserves. Only people who do not believe in Jesus will be Judged.

The truth is that this «Gospel» is a forgery.

People who wants to fake the truth about Jesus 1500 years after His death and resurrection will always leave fingerprints of fraud.

Like the claim that Jesus sailing across the Sea of Galilee to Nazareth. The city of Nazareth is an inland city. And the Gospel of Barnabas explained that Jesus was going up to Capernaum, which is located at the lakeside.

This false book also claims that Jesus was born during the rule of Pontius Pilate, which began after the year 26 A.D. In chapter 22, this false Gospel talks of wine being stored in wooden casks, as characteristic of Gaul and Northern Italy. There were no oak or three fit for such storage in Israel. Thats why they used wine skins and jars.

Will trying harder or being more clever end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

Palestinians interpreted previous Israeli efforts to «make peace» as signals of demoralization and weakness.«Painful concessions» made the Jewish state appear vulnerable, and incited irredentist dreams of annihilation. Each gesture by Israel further exhilarated, radicalized, and mobilized the Palestinian body politic to war.

Wars end not through goodwill but through victory. Peace nearly always requires one side in a conflict to be defeated and thus give up its goals.

Since 1993, the Arabs have sought victory while Israelis sought compromise. But to survive, Israelis eventually must return to their pre-1993 policy of convincing Palestinians and others that the Jewish state will endure and that dreams of elimination must fail. Israel need only deter the Palestinians, not the whole Arab and Muslim populations, which take their cues from the Palestinians and with time will follow their lead.

Diplomacy aiming to shut down the Arab-Israeli conflict is premature until Palestinians give up their anti-Zionism. When that happy moment arrives, negotiations can re-open and take up anew the Oslo issues, borders, resources, armaments, sanctities, residential rights. But that is years or decades away. In the meantime, an ally needs to win.

The EU and United Nations supports Hamas who teach kids to kill Jews

The bear puppet host, Nassur, of a Hamas children’s TV program used different words for «slaughter» to describe how to rid Israel of Jews.

There is no difference between the education of Hamas and Nazi-Germany.

First the bear explains that all Jews must be «erased from our land». Later in the conversation he adds, «We want to slaughter them, Saraa, so they will be expelled from our land» He repeats, «…We’ll have to [do it] by slaughter».

He first uses the Arabic expression for «slaughter» «Nidbah-hom» and later on uses the word «Shaht».

The following is the transcript from the children’s program Tomorrow’s Pioneers:

Nassur: “There won’t be any Jews or Zionists, if Allah wills. They’ll be erased.”
Saraa: “Chased away.”
Nassur: “And just like we will visit the Qaaba [in Mecca]… everyone will visit Jerusalem.”
[Seven-year old Palestinian child on phone tells how his father, a member of the Hamas Al-Qassam Brigades, “died as a Shahid (Martyr).”]
Nassur to child on phone: “What do you want to do to the Jews who shot your father?”
Child on phone: “I want to kill them.”
Saraa: “We don’t want to do anything to them, just expel them from our land.”
Nassur: “We want to slaughter (Nidbah-hom) them, so they will be expelled from our land, right?”
Saraa: “Yes. That’s right. We will expel them from our land using all means.”
Nassur: “And if they don’t want [to go] peacefully, by words or talking, we’ll have to [do it] by slaughter.” (Shaht)

Why should Hamas be interested in a three-state-solution, by Fatah taking over the all of the so-called West Bank?

Who will benefit from such a three-state-solution?

Yom Kippur War 2009 includes more than bombs

One the day of Yom Kippur, our day of remembrance and repentance, we remember the trauma of 1973 when Egypt and Syria chose the Jewish High Holy Days to launch a surprise attack that nearly succeeded in destroying the state of Israel.

Rabbi Abraham Cooper gives us a deeper perspective on an ongoing Yom Kippur war.

That existential crisis inflicted not only massive casualties but also a wound that still reverberates in the Israeli psyche. Today, at the outset of the New Year of 5770, Israelis are once again under multiple attacks, not only from bombs and bullets, but also from diplomatic bombast and “poison pill” prescriptions falsely promising peace.

Israel’s tribulations, which affect Jewish communities everywhere, are the product of a multi-pronged, global campaign to undermine the Jewish state’s status as a member in good standing of the international community.

Diplomatic Blitz:

UN interlocutor Richard Goldstone’s report on Israel’s December response to 8,000 rockets from Gaza’s Hamastan since 2005. Redefining self-defense as «war crimes».

Goldstone demands that the Jewish state either convict its soldiers and commanders or turn over the job to the International Court in The Hague for the crime of fighting a terrorist group that deploys its infrastructure among civilians, homes, and hospitals.

In the WCC’s 60-year tradition of demonizing Israel, General Secretary Samuel Kobia treats Israel as the «Jew» among the nations, declaring Israel guilty of a «sin against God» for expelling «no less than a million people . . . from their homes at gunpoint».

Britain’s 6.5-million member labor federation, the Trade Union Congress, is calling for a consumer-led boycott and sanctions campaign against Israel, urging the British government to condemn the «Israeli military aggression and the continuing blockade of Gaza». No mention of Hamas relentless terror war on innocent Israelis.

Updating the Medieval Blood Libel:

Sweden, currently president of the EU, steadfastly refuses to condemn the revival of the medieval blood libel by its leading daily, Aftonbladet, which falsely accuses Israeli soldiers of harvesting Palestinian organs to sell overseas.

Today attacks on Israel’s very legitimacy as a democratic Jewish state regularly reverberates in the flagship of American media. That Palestinians, and not 700,000 Jews expelled from Arab countries during and after 1948, are the only legitimate «refugees» has become a staple of the New York Times’ op-ed pages.

Last January that great post-Lockerbie humanitarian Muammar Gaddafi touted the “One-State Solution” in a piece demanding that the Jewish state commit national suicide by absorbing what the Palestinians claim are four million refugees.

Even-handed approach needed

While the goal of official US policy, reiterated by the Obama Administration, remains what President George W. Bush stated: «Two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security».

But it is Gaddafi’s vision that was highlighted this summer by yet another high-profile Times’ op-ed, coauthored by Robert Malley opining that «The Two-State Solution Doesn’t Solve Anything». He was Bill Clinton’s former special assistant for Arab-Israeli affairs.

And now comes «How to Put Pressure on Netanyahu», by Pierre Razoux – an anti-Israel ideologue billed a senior research adviser on Middle Eastern affairs at the NATO Defense College in Rome.

Razoux is full of such «constructive» suggestions as US cease blocking anti-Israel resolutions in the UN Security Council, cut loan guarantees to Israel, reduce US-Israeli military cooperation, and «freeze the Israelis out of the negotiations with Iran, informing them neither of the status of discussions nor of their content».

With the implicit backing of the Times’ editorials, the EU’s Javier Solana suggests that the world may have to impose an Israel-Palestinian «solution», one in which the Palestinians get their state even if they refuse to make reciprocal concessions to Israel.

Meanwhile, in far-off Waristan, Osama bin Laden on the eighth anniversary of September 11 uses the Arabic word Mustad’aaf to call the American president a «victim» of Jewish conspiracies. He urges Americans to read and rely on the ramshackle arguments of The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy.

This anti-Israel book’s thesis caused David Remnick to joke that:

«If only the US would distance itself from Israel, may be bin Laden will return to the family construction business, even re-erecting the Twin Towers with Saudi financing».

Netanyahu puts peace process back in proper perspective

«To those who gave this Holocaust-denier a hearing, I say on behalf of my people, the Jewish people, and decent people everywhere: Have you no shame? Have you no decency?»

The Prime Minister of Israel is a brave man. He spoke the truth to the World leaders.

This is the words of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Nenatyahu to the General Assembly of United Nations.

For decades the international community has let the Arabs define the Middle East peace process as the rectifying of wrongs done to the Palestinians by the Israelis. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sought to correct that error when he addressed the UN General Assembly on Thursday.

In a brief but powerful speech, Netanyahu reminded the world that it was the ancient prophets of his people that once inhabited the Holy Land and whose words are today holy scripture for billions of people.

«The Jewish people are not foreign conquerors in the Land of Israel. This is the land of our forefathers», declared Netanyahu.

«Inscribed on the walls outside this building is the great Biblical vision of peace: ‘Nation shall not lift up sword against nation. They shall learn war no more.’ These words were spoken by the Jewish prophet Isaiah 2,800 years ago as he walked in my country, in my city – in the hills of Judea and in the streets of Jerusalem. We are not strangers to this land. It is our homeland».

The Israeli leader said he is ready and willing make peace based on giving part of that land to the Palestinian Arabs who live there, but will not do so based on lies and false accusations against his people.

In particular, Netanyahu said he wants the Palestinians to finally acknowledge Israel as a Jewish state, just as the UN itself did in 1947 when it divided the Holy Land between Jews and Arabs, a decision the Jews accepted but the Arabs rejected.

«We ask the Palestinians to finally do what they have refused to do for 62 years: Say yes to a Jewish state»

Netanyahu also devoted a large chunk of his speech to blasting the recent UN-mandated Goldstone Commission report, which accused Israel of committing war crimes in its invasion of the Gaza Strip earlier this year in response to years of Hamas rocket fire.

The prime minister recalled how the world cheered when Israel withdrew from Gaza and promised to «back our right of self-defense» should anything go wrong, only to turn around and accuse Israel of the most heinous crimes when it was forced to defend itself.

And that despite the fact that Israel went to extraordinary lengths to avoid Palestinian casualties, unlike the way self-righteous Western powers responded when one of their cities was rocketed decades earlier.

«There is only one example in history of thousands of rockets being fired on a country’s civilian population. It happened when the Nazis rocketed British cities during World War II», said Netanyahu, in a short history lesson. In response, «the Allies leveled German cities, causing hundreds of thousands of casualties».

Netanyahu insisted that if Israel cannot count on fairness, even when Israel goes the extra mile to protect innocent lives on the other side, then it will find it increasingly difficult to take risks with its security in the name of peace.

The bulk of Netanyahu’s speech focused on Iran, and the Islamic Republic was even mentioned in those sections of the speech dealing with the peace process.

Netanyahu said that without firmly dealing with existential regional threats, the international community could not reasonably hope to oversee a viable peace between Israel and its neighbors. He also strongly condemned the UN for providing a podium to Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a day earlier, despite Iranian leader’s repeated denial of the Nazi Holocaust and his open desire to destroy Israel.

«Yesterday, the man who calls the Holocaust a lie spoke from this podium. To those who refused to come here and to those who left this room in protest, I commend you. You stood up for moral clarity and you brought honor to your countries», said Netanyahu. «But to those who gave this Holocaust-denier a hearing, I say on behalf of my people, the Jewish people, and decent people everywhere: Have you no shame? Have you no decency?».

Netanyahu warned the international community that «History has shown us time and again that what starts with attacks on the Jews eventually ends up engulfing many others».
