Iran is preparing nuclear test site in the desert

July 27, 2009

Iran is in the last stages of construction of a nuclear test site in the Kavir Lut desert between Tehran and its eastern border with Afghanistan.

Soon the Ayatollahs will have a nuclear bomb. If not Israel and the US stops them first.

Soon the Ayatollahs will have a nuclear bomb. If not Israel and the US stops them first.

The work is managed by the Iranian experts who were invited to attend North Korea’s nuclear test this year. Two diplomats attached to the UN nuclear watchdog agency in Vienna confirmed July 18 that Iran now has the means to test a weapon within six months.

As recently as July 9, DEBKAfile’s military sources reported that the US, Europe, and even the Binyamin Netanyahu government, appear to have adopted the same strategy for North Korea and Iran. It is a combination of harsh oral rebukes coupled with a refusal to address North Korea’s violations and Iran’s race for a nuclear bomb in any practical way, even though sanctions are clearly of no effect at all.

A blind eye is equally turned to the close collaboration between Pyongyang and Tehran on their missile and nuclear development programs. The two rogue states are also clearly in tune on their nuclear diplomacy and timetables.

Bahrain prince: «Normalization with Israel for settlement freeze»

July 27, 2009

«Arab countries should make gestures towards Israel in exchange for a settlements freeze and assurances that the 2002 Arab peace initiative is a basis for talks».

A Crown prince

Bahrain’s Crown Prince Sheikh Salman bin Hamad al Khalifa.

This is a statement by Bahrain’s Crown Prince Sheikh Salman bin Hamad al Khalifa. His suggestions in a recent column in The Washington Post has set off a firestorm of debate in the Arab Gulf states. The prince says Arab countries should make gestures towards Israel in exchange for a settlements freeze and assurances that the 2002 Arab peace initiative is a basis for talks.

«We have not done a good enough job demonstrating to Israelis how our initiative can form part of a peace between equals in a troubled land holy to three great faiths», the Crown Prince wrote.

He added that peace would bring economic benefits to all the peoples of the region in the form of direct savings from cutbacks in military spending and a surge in foreign investment and tourism.

Opposition groups with Bahrain as well as Islamist groups throughout the region were quick to criticize the article, saying it was just one more step towards «naturalization with the Zionist enemy», Israelis officials said that the published letter was «nice» but did not mean much since tiny Bahrain is not a major player in the Arab world.

The Obama Administration has called upon Arab governments to begin steps of normalization with Israel in trade for a settlements freeze.

My comment:

There is no hot war between Israel and Egypt, but rather a very cold peace. The freezing cold peace will not become more hot by freezing building Jewish homes in Zion.

Up till today, during the «normalization» Hosni Mubarak have not even visited Israel after 28 years as President of Egypt. This attitude will not change by freezing Jews from building new homes in a land rightfully theirs. When Egypt made peace with Israel, the IDF stood at the west bank of the river Nile.

Only when Israel gives up Jerusalem as their capital, Islamic leaders will be satisfied. Between the lines, The Crown Prince of Bahrain puts up this condition for so-called «normalization» with Israel. He does so by calling Israel a «troubled land holy to three great faiths».

Israel is neither a «troubled land», nor is it holy to Islam. The city of Jerusalem is not even mentioned in the Koran. The Arabic agenda of trying to re-occupy the capital of the Jewish nation is like a hijacking at high sea. Islam`s use of weapons, suicide bombers and treats must not be crowned with success.

First. Let all Islamic nations recognize both west and east Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Than we can talk about other conditions for «normalization» in the Middle East.
