Joel Osteen gets «Worst Easter Sermon Award»

- John Osteen completely missed the point of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. As a result he missed the entire point of Christianity.

Christian Radio host Chris Rosebrough gives his verdict on declaring the giant US non-denominational Charismatic Church leader John Osteen the winner of the 2009 «Worst Easter Sermon Award». Chris Rosebrough is the captain of internet based Pirate Christian Radio and host of the Fighting for the Faith Radio program.

- Jesus didn’t die and rise again on the cross so that you can have «come back power over life’s set backs». Osteen completely missed the point of Jesus life, death and resurrection, and as a result he missed the entire point of Christianity.

- I wasn’t surprised that Osteen was the first winner of this award. Osteen is like the Tiger Woods of heresy. He takes false teaching to a whole new level.

As a subjective personal viewpoint, I would like to add: John Osteen is one of the most famous teachers of the false prosperity gospel, using global television networks to spread his message. Osteen is also a famous writer of books on prosperity.

Wants good pictures of the Pope at the security fence

The Pope is planning to meet the The Palestinian Authority (PA) in the claimed to be a refugee camp in Aida. The PA have arranged for a photo session under the security fence set up in by the Israeli Government in 2002.

The PA authority is trying to set up a stage under the security fence, so that the International Press will get better pictures of the Pope. The israeli Government has objected to this Public Relation-stunt, and ordered the stage to be removed. The PA-authority has claimed it wants to «show the Pope how life is under the Israeli military occupation».

The Israeli Government has ordered the removal of this illegal construction, based on fear of a possibly security risk to the Pope, and people on a stage so close to the security fence. Ignoring this order, the PA Authority started to re-build the stage. The district Governor of i Bethlehem Salah Taameri explains:

- We have started to re-build the stage, and are determined to show the Pope what the suffering of the Palestinians is all about.

Security fence brought an end to Islamic suicide bombers

I guess the PA Authority is not determined to tell the Pope about the suicide bombers that entered Israel from this area, before the security fence was set up. The PA Authority should also explain to the Pope that the security fence has put an effective end to such kind of terrorist activities. The Latin Bishop of Jerusalem claims that Jerusalem is an «occupied city».

The people who the Papal Bishop is claiming have «occupied» Jerusalem, will be slapped with a bill of millions of USD for looking after the security of the Pope on his May visit to Israel.

Obama will surely change Israel

President Obama has made Israel less sure about the US policy in the Middle East. The US-president wants to be friends with everyone. In this region, that is simply not possible.

After 100 days in power, president Obama has left the leadership in Israel guessing. The US-leader promised «Change we can believe in». The first change we have seen, is that Obama has traveled the World, to shake hands even with enemies of democracy and religious freedom.

Obama started by talking about «peace» in public, but behind closed doors he supports promoters of Radical Islam such as Syria. Obama did so by allowing a NATO-country to do a military drill with Damascus. Obama has promised to withdraw troops from Iraq, but will make the people of Lebanon suffer more pain by allowing Turkey to supply arms to the Hizbullah controlled Lebanese government.

The US government has by its latest action, proven that Israel at the end of the road will stand alone. The Jewish people should not put their trust in Obama. In todays Haaretz, former US president Jimmy Carter says he is sure that: «US and Syria to restore full diplomatic ties soon». That will be the final approval of a state that is sponsoring militant Islamic regimes, that continues to work for the destruction of Israel.

Obama would be wise to listen to former US-president Lyndon B. Johnson. When he was asked why he sided with tiny Israel after the 1967-war, against more powerful and oil rich Arab neighbors, Johnson is quoted by having said: «Because it is the right thing to do».

Unlike Lyndon B. Johnson, Obama wants to become popular in the Islamic World. Thats a path down the road to a more frightened Israel. The price the World will have to pay is more radicalism on both sides of the Middle East divid. Obama will achieve the opposite of what he has promised the World. We will get: «Change that no one believes in».

Sentenced to death for selling land to a Jewish company

A Palestine Authority (PA) Military tribunal have sentenced a man to death for selling land in the province of Judea to a Jewish company.

Selling properties to any Israeli citizen is considered high treason among Muslims living in Judea or Samaria, by the International community called the West Bank. It is expected that the present PA-president Mahmoud Abbas will refuse to sign this death sentence.

Several Muslims in this area is serving in jail, sentenced to death accused for having working under cover for the state of Israel. Tuesdays death sentence fell after a two days military court trial in the city of Hebron.

The public PA persecutor, Issa Amer, claimed that the accused with the help of forged documents had sold a property in the village of Beit Ummar.

Venezuela ties up with «Palestine» and Iran

A fresh «Palestine Embassy» in Caracas is the latest bid by Venezuals President Hugo Chaves to work more closer with a Iranian Holocaust denier that supports Hamas and Hizbullah.

Just months after breaking relations with Israel, Venezuela established formal diplomatic ties with the Palestinian Authority and opened an Embassy of Palestine in Caracas on Monday.

Relations between the South American country and the PA have flourished as Venezuela’s brash socialist president, Hugo Chavez, has sought to forge closer relations between Latin American countries and the Arab/Muslim world, and in particular with Iran.

Venezuela-Israel ties, on the other hand, have beensevered since the radically leftist Chavez expelled Israeli diplomats in January to protest the IDF’s offensive against Hamas terror in Gaza.

Israel later responded by kicking out Venezuelan envoys. Speaking during Monday’s opening ceremony, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad al-Malki praised Chavez as “the most popular leader in the Arab world,” in part for his staunch support of Palestinians. “We also hope to open more Palestinian embassies all over the continent because for us it’s a great priority… to focus on this continent due to the political importance it has,” al-Malki went on to say.

Two years ago Venezuela started weekly flights from Caracas to Tehran, to widen the relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Venezuelan state owned air carrier Conviasa lands in Iran after making a stop-over in Syria.

Israel deals with its own failures

When the Jewish majority in Israel commit a crime, they are subjects of persecution by the Law. When Radical Islam deals with their own people, they execute them without mercy.

This is an objective difference between the state of Israel and its most committed enemies. It would be inhuman, to demand that all five million Jews in Israel shall always be able to control them self. That they will never blow their top, and start to hit back on people that wants to genocide them.

But even in the Israeli Army, the IDF, there are rules and regulations in regards to how Israel shall defend it self. Every Israeli soldier or police officer are answerable to a fair system of justice, under the Court of Law. Radical Islam do not submit to even the most basic human right of a fail trial.

Inside Israel, there is freedom of speech. You might not be surprised that Israeli Arabs are expressing hurtful anti-Jewish comments in public debates. But even within the Jewish community there is a free ongoing debate, that includes Anti-Zionistic viewpoints. If anyone in Gaza utters pro-Israel remarks, He will meet with a bullet: Sooner than later. Even in the rest of the Arab world, no-one can express pro-Israel viewpoints without facing death-treats. That`s the state of affairs in the Middle East. Which side are you on?

The Dominican monk Johann Tetzel (1465-1519 ) was the great mouthpiece, commissioner, and preacher of indulgences in Germany. His preaching raised enormous amounts of money which were sent to Rome.

Johann Tetzel collected money for him self, and for Rome. The Papacy needed to raise finances to build the biggest mansion of them all, the St. Peters Church.

The non-denominational Charismatic Churches today is likewise full of preachers who are selling indulgences in the name of healing, financial or material blessings. Like Tetzel, they misuse the name of Jesus. Like Rome, these TV-preachers also become multi-millionaires.

Tetzel said if they would put money quickly into the coffer to obtain grace and indulgence, all the mountains near St. Annaberg would turn into pure silver. He claimed that in the very moment the coin rang in the coffer, the soul rose up to heaven.

Even notable Roman Catholics such as Juan de Valdez, the brother of the secretary of the Emperor Charles V, admitted the corruption of such practices:

«I see that we can scarcely get anything from Christ’s ministers but for money, at bishopping money, at marriage money, for confession money – no, not extreme unction without money! They will ring no bells without money, no burial in the church without money; so that it seemeth that Paradise is shut up without money. The rich is buried in the church, the poor in the churchyard»

The idea behind Tetzels indulgences, was the religious believe that man can buy favors with God. Such false teachers will tell you that: « When God (understood to be represented by the preacher) gets your money, God will grant you miracles, healing or salvation».

The Jewish Messiah did not demand money from anyone, neither did he give anybody money, properties or material favors. He came to save the whole human race from our sins.

A poor lady put two cooper coins into the Temple treasure box. The Messiah saw this, and blessed her. He rebuked those in the Temple who had put in larger amounts of money.

The Messiah told us: «The love of money is the root of all evil». Some of the most prominent lovers of money are preachers who appear on «Christian» TV every night.

Obama approves large Turkish arms sale to Lebanon

The US President and the Turkish Prime Minister will start to supply arms to Lebanon controlled Hizbullah.

DEBKAfile quotes senior Israeli military circles as staggered by the discovery that US president Barack Obama had approved a large Turkish arms sale to the Lebanese army, including the services of NATO-trained Turkish military instructors.

This was taken as further proof that the US president is deaf to Israel’s immediate security concerns. Lebanese president Gen. Michel Suleiman has more than once threatened neighboring Israel.

When he signed the arms deal in Ankara Tuesday, April 21, he once again pledged publicly to place the Lebanese army at the disposal of the Shiite terrorist Hizballah in any confrontation with Israel. If that happened, said one Israeli source, Israel could find itself under attack not just by Hizbullah as in the past, but by a Lebanese army, well trained and armed by Turkey.

He noted that more than 50 percent of Lebanon’s fighting manpower are Shiites loyal to Hizbullah. The conviction is growing in Jerusalem that the US president endorsed the transaction as a means of breaking up the long-standing military pact between Israel and Turkey, because it interferes with his Middle East objectives.

Our sources note that neither Washington nor Ankara bothered to inform Israel of the transaction or its scope. After meeting Turkish president Abdullah Gul, Suleiman at the head of a large Lebanese military delegation signed the contracts for the sale and declared with deep satisfaction: “We reviewed the new [US] policies towards the region in the light of President Obama’s recent visit to Turkey.”

Barak: Worried over Turkey-Syria military drill

Responding to news of the joint exercise, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said to Jerusalem Post on Monday that it was “definitely a disturbing development. But I believe that the strategic relationship between Israel and Turkey will overcome Turkey’s necessity to participate in this drill as well.”

UN Chief Raps Hizbullah “Intimidation” in Lebanon

Hizbullah and other armed militias in Lebanon are fostering instability and intimidation as elections near, UN chief Ban Ki-moon warned in a report published Monday. “The threat that armed groups and militias pose to the sovereignty and stability of the Lebanese state cannot be overstated,” he wrote. Hizbullah’s arsenal, which includes an autonomous telecommunication network, “is a direct challenge to the sovereignty of the Lebanese state and an obstacle for the conduct of the normal democratic process in the country.” In 2004, UN Security Council Resolution 1559 called for the “disbanding and disarmament of all Lebanese and non-Lebanese militias.”

Catholic Church withheld from Jews they were Jewish

A letter from Pope Pius XII to his representative in Paris on November 20, 1946 shows that the Vatican ordered Jewish babies baptized during the Holocaust not to be returned to their parents.

When the Pope of Rome comes to Israel on a visit in May, he will be met by Orthodox Jewish demands of insight in the closed archives of the Vatican. Rabbi Shalom Dov Lipshitz from the Anti-Missionary organization Yad L’Achim, in todays Jerusalem Post, disclose parts of his letter to the Pope.

Lipshitz claims that Catholic families were told by the Pope not not disclose the Jewishness of Jewish children who had survived the Holocaust.

«We view with utmost gravity media reports that these families were acting on [the] order of Pope Pius XII, who stated that the orphans should not be told they are Jews»

Pope John Paul II did not respond to a request by Ukraine’s Chief Rabbi Yaakov Dov Bleich to open church archives and reveal the names of Jewish children who were raised as Catholics during World War II.

The Vatican has refused to open its war time archive, claiming that Cannon Law do not permit public access. The Vatican has nevertheless announced, that the files from prior to World War II, and during the War, might be opened for public scrutiny in the year 2013. The Vatican has meet strong Jewish objection to its plan of declaring Pope Pius XII a saint.

Christian Zionists and Evangelical Christians do not recognize the Pope in Rome as a Christian. The Pope is a leader of an apostate Church, that lives in many errors. One of them is his views on the state of Israel and the Jewish people, whom all believers in the Jewish Messiah are called to support.
